Postage

We have looked extensively at other online shops and many of them leave us baffled with their pricing policy for postage & packaging. Some charge on item prices, order prices, weight of individual items, consignment weight and some even order value and consignment weight. In a few cases the company doesn’t actually tell you what the total charge for P&P will be until you actually go to checkout and are about to enter your card details.

We believe that you, the customer, should know clearly in advance of making the decision to purchase what the P&P cost will be.

The policy that we like best is where there is one delivery charge. However, this disadvantages customers who only wish to buy one item of comparatively low value, for example a child that only needs one last item from the Take Along Thomas range to complete their collection.

Therefore our policy is simply this:

If the value of your order is £11.99 or less the P&P cost will be £2.95

If the value of your order is £12.00 or over and less than £49.99 the P&P cost will be £5.95

If the value of your order is £50.00 or over the P&P cost will be £7.95

We regret that, at the moment, we are only able to deliver to UK mainland areas only. We do not deliver to the Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scilly and Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland and BFPO addresses. At present we do not deliver to areas outside of the UK.

It is our goal to process and despatch your order by the next working day (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays).

We will only deliver to your registered billing address, i.e. the address where you card statement is sent. This is a security measure designed to combat fraud and protect your card from abuse by a third party.

Orders are despatched using either Royal Mail (1st Class), Standard Parcels or a courier. You should receive your goods within 7 days (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays).

Most deliveries will be between 8.30am and 6.00pm and require a signature, therefore please ensure that there will be someone available to sign for the parcel. If there is nobody in when the delivery is attempted the carrier may leave the parcel in a safe location or with a neighbour or leave a card giving you the option of rearranging the delivery or, in the case of the Royal Mail, a depot address from which it can be collected.

It is worth noting that items delivered by Royal Mail usually arrive within 3 days. However, Royal Mail stipulates that items may take up to 15 working days after the due date and can only be classified as lost after that time.

In order to do our bit for the environment, wherever possible we try to re-use the cardboard boxes that our stock comes in. As a result, sometimes the parcel that you receive may not look as pretty as a parcel sent using a new cardboard box. But, as we all know, it’s not the wrapping that counts it’s what’s inside that is important.
